The Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Ministry of Education have posted 3,000 and 1,000 paid internship slots respectively, with applications ending on August 9.
According to a notice issued by PSC on Tuesday, July 19, the internship includes multiple different government agencies, including ministries and schools.
The hiring by the Public Service Commission is part of the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP), which was established to provide graduates with the opportunity to obtain and improve critical technical and professional skills, as well as job experience.
The current recruiting is for the PSIP's fifth cohort for the fiscal year 2022-2023.
The internship will last for 12 months and is non-renewable.
Qualified applicants will be placed in a range of government ministries, departments, and organizations, where they will learn valuable technical and professional skills as well as public-sector employment experience.

Those chosen for the internship program will have to complete the responsibilities assigned to them by their supervisors.
They will also be required to actively participate in any relevant mentorship activities and other obligations assigned to the program.

The Commission further stated that each application will be evaluated based on its qualities, emphasizing the necessity of an unbiased selection process.
As remuneration, the interns will receive a stipend at a rate determined by the PSC.
The Ministry of Education under The State Department for Early Learning and Basic Education has also offered 1000 internship positions.
Successful applicants will be hired and deployed to various schools as part of the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP).
