According to the government, over 45,000 Kenyans have become homeowners through the affordable housing programme, 367,000 have registered for Boma Yangu services, and 531,043 savers have contributed over Ksh 2.255 billion.
Many of the Affordable Housing Programme projects are in prime urban areas. In Nairobi, for example, some housing units are available in Pangani, Starehe, Ngara, and Mowlem—all just a short drive from the CBD.
The project is not just limited to individuals, property developers, organized groups, investors, and MSMEs are also invited to apply.

The Pangani Project is a Public-Private Partnership between Nairobi City County and Tecnofin Kenya Limited.
It comprises 1,562 housing units, with nearly all sold out.

Starehe Point housing project is located off General Waruinge Road in the Starehe area of Nairobi County. Developed by GulfCap Real Estate in partnership with the Kenyan government, it is situated just 2.5 km from the Nairobi CBD.
Starehe Point is within walking distance of key social amenities such as the New Starehe District Hospital, Pumwani Hospital, Kariakor, Burma, and Gikomba Markets, the Eastleigh Business Community, Starehe Boys Centre, Pangani Girls, and several other schools and places of worship.
The development features 3,000 housing units with a mix of 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments, designed to suit a range of lifestyles and family sizes.

King’s Boma Estate is an affordable housing development located in Gitambaya, Ruiru, Kiambu County. The project offers a variety of house types ranging from studios to 3-bedroom units. The estate is designed for comfortable, modern living and is equipped with a borehole, landscaped green spaces, a perimeter wall, a children’s play area, and a community hall.

As part of the Boma Yangu initiative, King’s Sapphire is located in the Bondeni area of Nakuru. This project offers a variety of unit options including 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments.
The estate also features specially designed units to cater to the needs of differently-abled individuals. Other amenities include cabro-paved driveways that enhance both the aesthetics and accessibility of the estate.

The Buxton Project is a public-private partnership between the County Government of Mombasa and investors.
Residents will have access to a fully equipped gym and sports court for fitness enthusiasts, a swimming pool for leisure and recreation, and a kindergarten to cater to young families. The estate is powered by solar energy for sustainable living and includes specially designed units to accommodate people with special needs.

Located along Kalawa Road in Kitui Town, this project is a joint venture between the Kitui County Government and Tecnofin Kenya Limited.

This project, located in Athi River, features two distinct sections. The first consists of four-bedroom maisonettes, and the second section is an economy apartment block comprising bedsitters, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.
The apartment block is situated just 1 km from the Kenya Meat Commission and is close to the EPZ, and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

This project is divided into clusters and comprises a total of 463 units. It features a mix of 2 and 3-bedroom bungalows, flats, and maisonettes.
This was the first project under the Affordable Housing Initiative. Located in Ngara, just a walking distance from Nairobi CBD, the project comprises 1,370 units and was completed in 2020. It is now fully occupied.
The Affordable Housing Programme currently has over 400 ongoing projects across the country, including locations such as Kibera, Meru, Lurambi (Kakamega), Bahati, Voi, Iten, and Mokowe (Lamu), among others.
