Applications are now open for 2021 KCSE candidates to apply for admissions into various undergraduate, diploma, certificate, and other programmes for government-sponsored and private students in any of the Kenyan Universities, Colleges, and TVETs in the 2022/2023 academic year.
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) places Kenyan government-subsidised students in universities and colleges to pursue a wide range of degrees, diplomas, and certificate programmes.
KUCCPS also provides information on various programmes and the colleges that provide them for each cycle.
The good news is that all 826,807 students who sat for KCSE in 2022 will have the opportunity to be placed in institutions of higher learning according to KUCCPS CEO, Mercy Wahome.
Anyone who is also interested in enrolling in one of the various Teacher training colleges (TTC) can do so as well as those interested in participating in Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DIPTE) or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECTE) TTCs.
Qualifying KCSE applicants have 14 days to apply or revise their courses online via KUCCPS student portal. The deadline is set for June 2, 2022.
Candidates with grades C+ or higher in their KCSE are eligible to enroll in government-sponsored degree programmes.
Those who obtained grade C or C- on their final exam are eligible for diploma courses.
Students who scored grade D+ and below are eligible for TVET courses.
This year, there are 584 Degree programs, 274 Diploma programs, 133 Certificate programs, 153 Artisan programs, 70 Universities, and 232 colleges to apply to according to KUCCPS.
